Overview: Spare Parts is a popular & diverse 6 piece band from Houston, TX, featuring a dynamic female vocalist, male vocalists, saxophone, guitar, keyboards, bass & drums. They were nominated in 2010 for Best Cover Band in the Houston Press Music awards. Spare Parts plays music targeted at a broad audience and are a favorite of many club and restaurant establishments, festivals, corporate events, live TV and Radio broadcasts and private parties. They play many styles of music from Pop, Funk, Dance, Rock, R&B, Classic Rock, Adult Contemporary and Light Jazz. Playing together professionally for 16 years, the band has just completed their first original recording project titled "Music From Bedrooms" The album was released under the band name "August 83"

  BIOGRAPHY
Spare Parts is also known as August 83 and were inspired by artists like Sting, Toto, Pink Floyd, Sheryl Crow, Elton John Heart & Queen, their sound is a mix of Pop, Rock & Funk. Lead singer Linda Lambert’s extraordinary vocal prowess lends heartfelt vocals to their melodic songs. Songwriter & Guitarist, Mike Lambert’s songs are memorable & novel. Lambert’s vocals are complimented by keyboardist Jeff Ball’s sophisticated piano lines. Drummer, Dale Bankston and bassist Marco Yepez drive the band as a solid, hard hitting rhythm section and Dan Carpenter’s soulful sax is a signature part of the August 83 sound.
