Overview: The Beatz are a Northern New Jersey rock quartet who write and record mostly original music. Their music reminds the listener of a time where melody and harmony were key ingredients in rock songwriting, and lyrics had a story to tell. Their writing influences draw from a variety of musical styles and genres that are intermingled together to create an original sound, reminiscent of vintage rock & roll from the late sixties and early seventies. When they decide to take on other writer’s material, they create an interpretation of the work rather than simply “covering” the song. The Beatz lay down their original sound against a backdrop of musical textures, colors, dynamics which is held together by the solid foundation of the rhythm section. They have just released their first musical offering “Meet The Beatz” and they are ready to rock!
