Overview: Obsidian Arising is a Northern Virginia based band fusing Alternative Rock, Metal, Indie, and Prog. Obsidian Arising diverse brings creates something from within the ordinary, and twists it just the right way and presents it with texture in their music. Obsidian Arising came together in the summer of 2006. Featuring Michael (Buzzbox) on guitar, Chris on drums, Johnny on vocals and Vernon (Bittersweet Manics, Glassoline) on bass. Veterans of the local and regional rock music scene, having performed on many stages with local and national artists. The combination of multi-talented individuals, with varied musical backgrounds presents a dynamic and thoughtful musical output.
