Overview: Born in Kingston Jamaica on May 21st, Ava Mae entered the world, destined for music. Her father was the lead singer of a popular R & B / ReggaeFunk band in Jamaican named "Natural Hii" in the early 80's. Ava Mae moved to the States at 6 years old and continued developing her songwriting and vocal skills. Ava's inspirations include Culture Club, Mariah Carey, George Michael, The Carpenters, Jimmy Hendrix & Teena Marie. During her enrollment in college Ava-Mae scored a job as a back up singer for Arista's recording artist Blu Cantrell. After 2 years of touring, Ava Mae took a break to pursue her own dream of being a solo artist. She Began Working with Zomba Music Producer Mikey Bassie, then later filmed a commercial and recorded a duet with Dancehall heavyweight Bounty Killer.
