Overview: Terra's got the heart of a young girl but the soul-stirring
thoughts of a woman who knows what she wants.
Terra, who has been rapping for seven years, shares ideas
in her music that set her apart from other female rappers.
"The music industry needs more young female rappers,"
Terra said. "I keep it real. I write my own songs and
I write from my heart… when I'm happy, sad or mad.
I am just being Terra. I rap because that is the way I
express my feelings. I am a young lady and I can't say
everything that I want to say, so I express myself in my
songs."
Terra started rapping in 1999 when TLC's "No Scrubs"
was on the charts. She looks up to her favorite performer,
the late Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, and industry insiders
say that Terra has that same strong, defiant sound and
attitude. "I like her style and she didn't care what others
thought of her," Terra said of Lopes. "She expressed
