After setting fans into a frenzy with a mysterious billboard last week, Slipknot made a big announcement on Wednesday (April 24): They're playing a surprise show at a 350-capacity venue tomorrow (April 25) before their set at the Sick New World festival in Las Vegas this weekend. The show is set to go down at Pappy & Harriett's in Pioneertown, California (near Joshua Tree). The gig will not only be a warm up to the festival set but will also be the first show they play with their yet-to-be-announced new drummer.

Slipknot parted ways with longtime drummer Jay Weinberg in November. Last month, Weinberg revealed he joined Suicidal Tendancies. Although the band hasn't announced his replacement, fans are convinced it's ex-Sepultura drummer Eloy Casagrande after Slipknot shared a sly social media post in March.

It surely is no coincidence that the band scheduled the show on the 25th considering they're celebrating the 25th anniversary of their self-titled debut album. The move is making fans think they might be playing the album in its entirety during the intimate set.

Sick New World is the first of many festivals Slipknot's playing this year, including Welcome to Rockville in Daytona Beach, Florida, Sonic Temple in Columbus, Ohio, Rocklahoma in Pryer, Oklahoma, Louder Than Life in Louisville and Aftershock in Sacramento.
